Launched in 2018, the annual OSOS photo and video contest and exhibition began as an initiative to capture school life through the lens of our students, teachers and staff. A logo was created to represent this goal – a basic camera icon in three vibrant colours: pink, yellow, and blue. What started as just a photo competition has now included a video category in the contest since 2021. After the contest, submissions from schools were then showcased in a roving exhibition across heartland locations. The first exhibition took the form of a modular structure inspired by the Tetris game. In other years, we also used wall decals, transforming spaces into a vibrant playground of pink, yellow and blue and modular structures inspired by actual spaces in schools.
